Summer Camps
At Dovetail Studios, we have summer camps for all ages in Chicago! For students who are 5 -7, we have weekly themed summer camps. Kids will dance, make crafts and learn along the way! Ages 7 - 13 can participate in Skyline Children's Theater camps: High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock! Near the end of the summer, we also have a Musical Theater Variations Summer Intensive for ages 10+! Come spend your summer at Dovetail Studios' Summer Camps!
Super Hero Camp: 6/12 - 6/16
Each day is themed with a different superhero and on the last day, kids will make up their own superhero character! We will start off the day with a dance class and then explore the world of a super hero through crafts and games. Students will have lunch time at Horner park and have a rest time mid day (rest time can be anything from watching clips from superhero movies to reading superhero comics together). We will end the day with a fun superhero themed dance class to make sure your child is tuckered out from their day of fun!

Little Mermaid Camp: 6/19 - 6/23
Explore the world of Little Mermaid through dance, games and crafts. Each day will start off with a dance class then we'll learn about some creatures that live "Under the Sea" and create crafts! Students will have lunch time at Horner Park and have a rest time mid day (rest time can be anything from watching clips from Little mermaid to reading books together). We'll end the day with another fun dance class themed with Little Mermaid songs to make sure your child is tuckered out from their day of fun!

Pokemon Camp: 6/26 - 6/30
You gotta catch them all! Bring your cards and imagination to camp! We will start off each day with a dance class and create crafts inspired by each starter pokemon. Students will have lunch time at Horner park and have a rest time mid day (rest time can be anything from watching clips from Pokemon movies to playing card games together). On the last day, we will create our pokemon and decide on their skills. We'll end each day with a fun Pokemon themed dance class to make sure your child is tuckered out from their day of fun!

Frozen Camp: 7/10 - 7/14
Explore the world of Frozen through dance, crafts, reading and games. We will start the day with a dance class and create crafts inspired by frozen. Students will have lunch time at Horner park and have a rest time mid day (rest time can be anything from watching clips from Frozen to reading books together). We'll end the day with a fun frozen themed dance class to make sure your child is tuckered out from their day of fun!

Dovetail is Lava! Camp: 7/17- 7/21
Dovetail is Lava! Bring your energy and imagination to camp! We will start off each day with a dance class and create crafts inspired by different elements of the show "The Floor is Lava". Students will have lunch time at Horner park and have a rest time mid day (rest time can be anything from watching clips from The Floor is Lava to reading books). On the last day, we will create our obstacle course and try it out! We'll end each day with a energetic dance class to make sure your child is tuckered out from their day of fun!

Musical Theatre Variations 7/24 - 7/28
This special Musical Theater Variations intensive will focus on variations from popular musicals such as Wicked and Shrek! Students will learn how to sing and focus on the technique of Musical Theater Jazz. The end of camp will be a special performance featuring the musical theatre variations they've learned!
Ages 10+
1pm - 5pm
Please pack a snack for your child. Students are required to have 1 - 2 years of dance training to participate in this camp.

Camp Rock $995
Skyline’s Broadway Stars Summer Camp for ages 7-13 provides young actors with a comprehensive musical theatre experience.From an exciting first day of getting to know a show, to an exhilarating final performance, an experienced Skyline teaching artist will guide actors in putting together a fully-staged musical.
Every child will be assigned a named role and have a chance to shine in Camp Rock as they learn lyrics and dances to their favorite songs like “It’s On,” “This is Me,” and “We Rock.”
Days will be packed as actors memorize lines and solos, dance in an ensemble, play acting games, create show backdrops and props, enjoy outdoor lunch and recess at Horner Park, and have fun with friends! After two weeks of preparation, Broadway Stars will present a final performance for friends and family on the last day of camp!
