Class Pass Pricing
10 class passes are available for any virtual or in-person professional or adult drop-in class on schedule. They are valid for six months after purchase.

Virtual Classes
When purchasing a virtual class, a unique Zoom link will be emailed when the instructor begins the Zoom meeting.
In Person Classes
Dovetail follows local Chicago city ordinance guidelines regarding masks and COVID-19 safety.
Class Policy
A minimum of 3 students is needed for each class. If our minimum is not reached 30 minutes prior to start, class will be cancelled and purchases refunded.
Improv and Process
This class is about finding joy and expression in the body, engaging with rigor and musicality, and amplifying our own individual artistic voices. We work through a meditative warm up that combines breath, floor work, and fitness principles, move into improvisational and technical exercises, and culminate with phrase work. Combining the freedom of the club with the rigor of a ballet barre, this class aims to make you sweat and feel good in your body while pushing your limits creatively and physically.

Musical Theatre Dance
Adult Musical Theatre will incorporate variations from musicals and is a perfect fit for an adult looking for a fun way to end their work week! This class occurs weekly and is a drop-in class.

Thursdays 8-9pm
Pro Contemporary Jazz
This class will combine contemporary artistry with jazz athleticism. Class will include an energizing full body warm up, some across the floor/improv, and a longer center combination. Dancers are encouraged to tap into their emotional range as well as their physical capabilities. The goal of each class is to grow and make a deeper connection with yourself as a performer, dancer, and artist.

Contemporary Drama
Contemporary Drama combines classical and contemporary principles to guide dancers towards refinement of technique. Finding a deeper understanding of weight and body placement while encourage agency in dancers artistic voice/emotional landscape. Dancers can expect a formal contemporary warmup, coordination building movement tasks, improvisation, and a taste of Katlins' signature movement language. This is a space for exploration, where you will be asked to meet challenge with joy and curiosity. All bodies and backgrounds are celebrated in this movement laboratory.

Pro Modern
Release-based modern class with focus on gravity and momentum. Class begins with on the floor phrases then evolve out into complex spatial connections and traveling that relies on spirals and free flow.

Open Level Choreography
This is an open level Hip Hop class with a focus on learning choreography. Victor focuses on grooves and intricate musicality when he teaches. He tries to keep things new, interesting, and fun regardless if it’s a slow or an upbeat piece.

Popping and Locking
This class covers the fundamentals of major styles such as tutting, robot, snaking, Boogaloo, locking and animation. This class is suitable for students of all levels of experience but is geared towards beginners and intermediate levels. The class consists of drills, choreography and some history

Somatic Justice
Somatic Justice is a class based in the empowerment of self through movement. Finding ways to move for ourselves so that we are then able to move and connect with our communities. Practices would include prompt based work, improvisation, journaling, being given phrases to break down with intent or emotion.

Advanced Ballet
Using the foundation of ballet technique and language - dancers are challenged with complex combinations. Teachers work with local ballet companies as artistic directors or choreographers.

Open Level Hip Hop
This is a high-energy, choreography-based class infusing commercial dance with original forms of hip hop. Students will learn various choreographic combinations while building confidence, grooving, and having fun!
