Kat Scott

Katherine Scott is a teaching artist, dancer, and choreographer in the Chicago area. She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in Dance, Psychology, and Theatre, with a concentration in Theatre for Young Audiences. While at Northwestern, she performed in works by Jeff Hancock, Laura Wade, and Amanda Lower, among others. She recently performed in American College Dance Festival Association's 2014 National College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center. Katherine has worked as a teaching artist with Mudlark Theater, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, the District 65 Drama Department, and Northwestern's Seesaw Theatre, which provides multi-sensory arts workshops for individuals with developmental differences. Katherine has also served as Education Director for Purple Crayon Players, Northwestern’s nationally recognized theatre for young audiences company, producing and developing works by, with, and for youth, as well as arts education programming around the Chicagoland area. She is also a licensed Zumba® instructor. Katherine is currently working as company member and Education Director of Striding Lion Performance Group under the direction of Amanda Lower.
