To register for Pre Ballet/Hip Hop/Tap this session, dancer must turn 5 y.o. between Jan - Dec 2018.
A Parent and Tot class. Ages 18 mo - 2.5 years. Teensy Weensy is a movement class for the young toddler and parent. Have a blast watching your child move to music, explore movement games and learn to follow simple directions. It’s a great way to meet other parents as well. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing and socks or bare feet. Registration required, repeatable.
Tiny Tots (multiple levels)
Tiny Tots (ages 3-4) is a creative movement class that encourage self-discipline and self-confidence while incorporating coordination, large motor skills and rhythm. Children will learn movement skills through music, stories and imaginative games. Props such as bean -bags, hula-hoops, and parachutes are a few of the props used to explore different movement qualities, shape, level and dynamics. After completing one year of Tiny Tots 1, students can advance to Tiny Tots 2. Children should wear comfortable clothing and be sock free unless they are weraring ballet shoes. Hair needs to be pulled back. They may wear leotard and tights as well. Registration required, repeatable.
Pre Ballet (multiple levels)
Pre-Ballet (ages 5-6) is an introduction to the ballet technique. Students will begin to learn the foundations of the ballet technique including proper posture, upper and lower body positions, loco-motor steps, while continuing to use props and fun games. After completing one year of Pre Ballet 1, students may advance to Pre-Ballet 2. White leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes required. NO SKIRTS! Boys must wear black leggings, white t- shirt and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back. Registration required, repeatable. Purchase your leotard and tights on our storefront.
Pre-Hip Hop/Street Dance (multiple levels)
PreHip Hop Street Dance(ages 5-6) is an introduction to the street/hip hop techniques. This class is packed with fun while learning skills to develop agility, rhythm, creativity and spunk. Foot work, breaking, popping and locking are some of the techniques that will be learned. Once completing one year of Pre-Hip Hop 1, students can advance to the next level. Comfortable clothing and clean gym shoes required. Registration required, repeatable.
Pre Tap (multiple levels)
Pre Tap is an introduction to tap technique. Rhythm, counting skills, coordination and fun are the focus of this class. Girls must wear a black leotard and black tights. Once students have completed 1 year of Pre-Tap 1, the may advance to the next level. Boys must wear black leggings and a white t-shirt. Tap shoes required. Hair must be pulled back. Registration required, repeatable.
One class per week
Mini Tumbling (ages 5-7) is a beginning tumbling class that will introduce students to basic rolls and backbends, increase flexibility, and begin steps for cartwheels and flips. Students will go barefoot and may wear leotard and footless tights or athletic shorts and tops. Those that register for a dance class in conjunction with tumbling will receive a discount on the tumbling class. Registration required; repeatable.
