Adult Ballet 1Adult Ballet 1 is a great physical activity that involves cardio, stretching, concentration, music, and memory. It burns calories, lengthens and strengthens muscles and contributes to an all-around sense of well-being. This is an engaging, upbeat, thoughtful class that challenges without frustrating the students while focusing on helping them adjust their technical placement and posture for better strength and control. No expereince needed! Ballet shoes are best, but socks will do.One class per week. Registration required, repeatable. REGISTER

Adult Ballet 2Adult Ballet 2 is a ballet class for those with some previous experience in the technique. Adult Hip HopLearn the basics of Hip Hop technique,  experience great music and enjoy a challenge. This class breaks down the origins of the technique as you learn skills in house, hip hop, popping and locking and even breaking. This class is a great way to let loose, get fit and learn new skills.  Comfortable clothing required and clean gym shoes. Registration required, repeatable.One class per week. REGISTER

Adult Tap 1Tap dance is simultaneously music and movement. This class draws on a diversity of approaches to integrating the basic fundamentals of these two elements. The emphasis will be on establishing a strong technical foundation of vocabulary, execution, clarity, and time. Through warm-up exercises, improvisation, and choreography, students will learn how to shift weight, execute motions efficiently, recognize styles of music, and express rhythm through sound and movement. REGISTER

Adult Tap 2Adult Tap 2 is a continuing tap technique class of exercises and routines that develop rhythm, coordination, and conditioning. This class is for those that feel confident with their skills and want to move on to more complex steps and combinations.  Registration required, repeatable.One class per week REGISTERAdult Hip Hop Sampler This 5 week sampler brings you the highlights of what we now think of hip hop. Each class will introduce you to a different style of street dance, including Breaking, Popping/Locking, Whacking, House and Social Dance.Each class is 90 minutes. One class per week REGISTERAdult Modern 2 Adult Modern 2 is an intermediate level class for those who have had prior modern dance experience. Taught by Dovetail owner and artistic director of Same Planet Performance Project, Joanna Read, this class has elements of working in and out of the floor, standing exercises and big movements traveling across the space.  Registration required, repeatable. 60 minutes One class per week REGISTER
